Determine the distance to the cloud that you want to measure. Use weather radar or a good estimate. The angle can be used without entering a distance.
Enter the distance to the cloud in the "Miles" Text box on the right side of the app.
Hold the reference line (the middle line) level with the top of the could that you want to measure.
If the cloud is above you, the height above you can be read in the text box on top of the reference line. If the cloud is below you, the height below you can be read below the reference line.
The cloud height color can be changed by tapping on the number.
iPhone models that DO NOT have a Gyroscope (iPhone 3 or lower, iPad 1 and iPod 3 or lower) might need to be calibrated.
The device needs to be level on the horizontal axis and vertical axis. Press "Set Angle" to get the variation between zero degrees and your devices current measurement of 0 degrees. Then press "Save Correction" to store that correction. The correction can be removed by selecting "Reset Correction".
Earth curve correction adds a earth curve correction to the cloud height and can be turned on or off.
